Our mission is to help children and their parents love the earth and live lightly upon it.
To achieve our mission we:

- promote student service-learning projects
- provide programs for children with special needs

- enhance the native habitat of our community

Organic Vegetable Gardening Class
Holton Eco-Preserve
Saturday mornings from 9:00a - 11:00a, August 28 - December 18
Learn to grow your own
vegetables and herbs in this "hands on" 15 week class.
Topics include:
- Best planting times
- vegetables and herbs for S. Florida
- companion planting
- crop rotation
- composting and soil care
- pest & disease management
- container & raised bed gardening
- and much more.
Participants will work in teams responsible for creating and maintaining their own garden plot throughout the season. You keep what you grow!

The cost is $100.00 which includes instruction and supplies. Limited work scholarships are available.
